Town of Ponoka is Hosting a Community Watch Event Tonight for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final

The Town of Ponoka is opening the Ponoka Arena Complex tonight for a Community Watch Event for Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final. The Town will be projecting the game onto a 20-foot inflatable screen that will be set up in the large ice area.

Tables and seating will be set up on the floor with some overflow seating in the stands. The event will accommodate 500 people. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. Admission is $5. Tickets are available at the door. The Arena concession will be open.

“Given the excitement that has been building throughout this Stanley Cup Final, we thought tonight’s game would be a great opportunity to bring the community together to cheer on the Oilers in a venue where hockey is meant to be watched,” said Andrew Jones, Manager of Parks, Recreation and Facilities for the Town of Ponoka. He noted that it’s been 30 years since a Canadian team has won the Stanley Cup, so he expects the event will be well attended.

The Ponoka Arena Complex is located at 4410 54 Street.
