Registered Town Utility Customers will be receiving an introductory recorded voice call at about 7 p.m. today, November 6, about the Town Notification Service
At about 7 p.m. today, Town utility customers will be receiving an introductory recorded voice call confirming they have been registered to receive voice call alerts from the new Town Notification Service. The Town of Ponoka will appear on the call display on your phone when you receive the call.If you are a Town of Ponoka utility customer and have opted out, you will not receive the phone call. For registered utility customers, you can opt out by pressing ‘8’ at the end of any recorded voice call from the new service, or submit an Online Service Request by clicking here, or phone the Town Office at 403-783-4431 during office hours where Town staff can assist you in opting out.
The Town Notification Service and App will send you alerts that keep you informed about:
- Town of Ponoka utility service disruptions;
- Large-scale, local emergencies in Ponoka; and
- Other optional non-emergency alerts.
You also have the option of receiving non-emergency alerts about other important Town information, such as:
- Road closures;
- Waste collection reminders;
- Parking bans during snow removal;
- And more!
