Temporary Road Closures on June 5 for Graduates of Ponoka Parade

Map of the Parade RouteClick on the image to make it larger.There will be temporary road closures in Ponoka on Thursday, June 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. along the following roadways for the Graduates of Ponoka Parade:

  • 55 Street (between 45 Avenue and 48 Avenue);
  • 48 Avenue (between 55 Street and 50 Street);
  • 50 Street (between 48 Avenue and 46 Avenue);
  • 46 Avenue (between 50 Street and 54 Street); and
  • 54 Street (between 46 Avenue and Highway 53).

The parade will begin at the intersection of 45 Avenue and 55 Street and finish at the Ponoka Arena Complex (4410 54 Street). Please click here to view the map.

Motorists are advised to drive with caution in these areas and observe road barricades. 

Citizens are asked to watch for 'No Parking' signs and remove vehicles from roadways on which ‘No Parking’ signs are posted. 

The road closures will help ensure our local graduates and their families can safely celebrate this important milestone in their lives.
