Register for Winter Recreation Programming Beginning Monday, December 1

Registration for winter recreation programming opens on Monday, December 1 starting at 8 a.m. online on the Town of Ponoka’s website by clicking here or in person at the Ponoka Aquaplex (5315 46 Avenue).

The line up of winter recreation programming includes swimming lessons, advanced programming, day camps and a variety of fitness and wellness classes for all ages and abilities. 

A full list of winter programming is posted here. Paper copies will also be available at the Aquaplex and Arena Complex. Winter recreation programming will begin in early January.

Aquatic Programs:

The Ponoka Aquaplex offers swimming lessons, advanced aquatic leadership training and water fitness classes. To learn more, please click here.

Fitness and Wellness Classes:

Programs, such as Pilates, cardio and strength classes, low-impact fitness sessions and specialty wellness programs will allow citizens to stay active indoors throughout the colder months. To learn more, please click here.

Day Camps

Children will enjoy supervised recreational and educational activities, including sports, games arts/crafts and hands-on learning during day camps over Reading Week and Spring Break. To learn more, please click here.

Ice Season Programming:

The Ponoka Arena Complex features two indoor ice surfaces and an outdoor rink that hosts public skating, family skating, shinny hockey, drop-in ice times and private ice rentals. Local user groups, such as minor hockey, rec hockey, figure skating and curling organizations will run their seasonal programming throughout the winter. To learn more, please click here.

Racquetball/Squash Courts:

The racquetball and squash courts at the Ponoka Arena Complex are open year-round, offering an indoor recreation option for staying active during colder months.
