Day Camps Being Offered at Ponoka Arena Complex During Teachers’ Strike

New Day Camps Offered During Teachers' StrikeThe Town of Ponoka is launching day camps for children ages six to 12 at the Ponoka Arena Complex (4410 54 Street). The day camps will begin on Monday, October 6 and run throughout the duration of the anticipated provincial teachers’ strike on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Please note that statutory holidays are not included.

The day camps will include fun activities such as crafts, games and sports – both outdoor and indoor.

“These day camps are designed to support families in our community by providing engaging, fun and affordable recreational programming for children to enjoy each day” said Andrew Jones, Manager of Parks, Recreation and Facilities. 

The daily rate for the day camps is $30 per child. Participants can register online here or in-person at the Ponoka Arena Complex during these hours:

  • Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m.
