Temporary Traffic Disruptions on Highway 53 Begin Thursday, September 11

Temporary partial lane closures will begin tomorrow, Thursday, September 11 on Highway 53 between Highway 2A and 38 Street, as crews begin removing the old asphalt in preparation for repaving.

Paving work is expected to begin early next week. The temporary partial lane closures will be in place until the work is completed.

Traffic flow on Highway 53 will be maintained with at least one lane of traffic open in both directions at all times. During construction, the speed limit will remain at 50 km/h along the corridor.

Motorists and pedestrians are asked to exercise caution around construction and work crews, and be mindful of all road signs and traffic safety personnel.
