Voter Turnout
A total of 1327 voters cast ballots in the Town of Ponoka 2025 Municipal Election.
- 450 voters cast ballots during the Advance Vote;
- 52 voters cast ballots in the Institutional Votes;
- Five voters cast special ballots; and
- The remaining 820 people voted on Election Day.
There were 20 rejected ballots.
The total number of eligible voters in the Town of Ponoka based on the Permanent Elector List on October 20 is approximately 5,463. That equates to a voter turnout rate of about 24 per cent in the 2025 Municipal Election.
Swearing in of New Council on Tuesday, October 28
The new Ponoka Town Council is scheduled to be officially sworn in at the next Organizational and Regular Town Council meeting on October 28 at 6 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend all Council meetings. Meetings are held in Town Council Chambers on the third floor of the Ponoka Civic Centre (5604 50 Street).
