Public Skating and Shinny Hockey Return to the Ponoka Arena Complex

A group of children skating on the small icePublic skating and shinny hockey will return to the Ponoka Arena Complex this weekend beginning tomorrow, Saturday, August 16. 

Public skating will be offered on:

  • Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the small ice surface;
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 to 2 p.m. on the small ice surface; and
  • The large ice surface will also be available, but scheduled times will vary.

Recreation Passes Available

To access public skating and shinny hockey, citizens can purchase a single-use pass or a 20-visit punch pass for the Arena. They can also purchase a recreation pass, which gives users access to all drop-in programming at the Arena and the Ponoka Aquaplex (including swimming, water fitness classes, public skating/shinny hockey and racquetball/squash).
