6.1 Purchasing Policy
Council approved the CP-24 Purchasing Policy. The policy has been updated to ensure the Town’s procurement practices remain transparent, accountable, and compliant with applicable laws while aligning with strategic objectives and modern administrative practices.
7.2 Request for Proclamation – National Depression Screening Day
Council made a motion to table the request for proclamation for National Depression Screening Day. The request for proclamation will be brought back to the September 9 Regular Council Meeting for further discussion and consideration.
7.3 Operating and Capital Statement – June 2025
Council accepted as information the June 2025 Operating and Capital Statement as presented.
7.4 Community Peace Officer Program – July 2025 Report
Council accepted the July 2025 Report for the Community Peace Officer Program as information. The Report provides an overview of bylaw enforcement activities conducted over the past month, including statistics on compliance, violations and enforcement actions.
10.1 Letter from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police
Council received a letter from Trevor Daroux, Alberta’s New Deputy Commissioner. In this letter Trevor introduced himself and his role in serving the citizens of Alberta.
13.1 Letter from Dan Williams, Minister of Municipal Affairs
Council received a letter from Dan Williams, Minister of Municipal Affairs responding to Mayor Kevin Ferguson’s letter on the 2025 education property tax increase calculation and its impact on Town of Ponoka citizens.
