Aquaplex Will Be Temporarily Closed September 3-16

The Ponoka Aquaplex will undergo its annual maintenance and facility improvements beginning Tuesday, September 3 after the Labour Day weekend. The facility will temporarily be closed to the public at this time and will resume regular operations on Tuesday, September 17. 

In addition to the daily cleaning and regular maintenance that is conducted at the Aquaplex year-round, the scheduled work in September will include:

  • Deep cleaning of all areas in the facility;
  • Inspection of equipment, and necessary repairs to maintain the high standards of the facility.

This routine maintenance scheduled in September will ensure that the Aquaplex continues to provide a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all visitors. “We appreciate the understanding and patience of our community during this essential maintenance period,” said Andrew Jones, Manager of Parks, Recreation & Facilities. 

“This annual maintenance closure allows us to ensure that everything is in top condition and ready to serve our patrons for the busy year ahead once we reopen,” he added.
