Ponoka Aquaplex Hosts 'Sketch and Swim' Event
The Town of Ponoka is excited to announce the "Sketch and Swim" event on Wednesday, August 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. This fun event invites swimmers of all ages to blend art and aquatic fun at the Aquaplex (5315 46 Avenue).
The first 40 swimmers to arrive will receive a flutter-board canvas and crayons, providing them with the tools to sketch their aquatic inspirations while they swim. Whether you're an aspiring artist or just looking for a fun afternoon, "Sketch and Swim" promises to be a memorable experience.
"We are always looking for creative ways to engage our community and enhance the swimming experience at the Aquaplex," said Andrew Jones, Manager of Parks, Recreation & Facilities. "This event allows participants to express their creativity in a fun and enjoyable setting."
Daily drop-in admission costs apply. The flutter-board canvas and crayons are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to arrive early to secure your spot and receive your canvas.
