Activities planned at the Ponoka Aquaplex (5315 46 Avenue) to recognize National Drowning Prevention Week include:
• Daily ‘Swim to Survive’ Skills Challenge each day from 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday
• A Free Swim on Wednesday, July 19 from 1 to 4 p.m.
• A Community Barbecue on Wednesday, July 19 from 3 to 5 p.m.
Weather will determine whether the barbecue will be held indoors or outdoors.
