Not Accepted Items at the Waste Transfer Station
The Ponoka Waste Transfer Station does not accept the following items and materials:
- Agricultural herbicide and pesticide containers
- Asbestos insulation
- Ashes
- Automobiles and other large metal objects
- Bulk liquids and wastes with free liquid
- Dead animals (including hides and carcasses)
- Demolition debris
- Fire extinguishers
- Hydrocarbon contaminated earth
- Industrial waste
- Manure
- Radioactive waste
- Sulfurous waste and/or soil
- Items for disposal at the regional landfill that are greater than 8 feet long
